All participants must complete registration and pay the $45 entry fee by October 2, 2026. The entry fee includes a meal/drink voucher.

Cancellations and refund requests must be received by September 30, 2026 to be eligible for a refund. No refunds will be issued for participant cancellations after September 30, 2026.

Event Schedule:

8:00 AM – 9:00 AM — Participant check-in, registration verification & boat preparation
9:00 AM — Tournament begins / lines in
4:00 PM — Lines out / fishing ends
4:00 PM – 5:00 PM — Final weigh-in
5:00 PM – 6:30 PM — Meal, community gathering & sponsor recognition
6:30 PM — Winners announced & prizes awarded
6:30 PM – 8:00 PM — Fellowship, activities & event wrap-up

Fishing Requirements & Basic Rules:

Registration: All tournament participants must be registered and have paid the $45 entry fee before participating. Participants should check in before launching or beginning tournament fishing.

Fishing License: Participants are responsible for possessing a valid Michigan fishing license when required and for complying with all applicable Michigan fishing regulations.

Eligible Fish: A bass tournament — largemouth and smallmouth bass.

Legal Fish Only: All fish entered must meet applicable Michigan regulations regarding species, season, size, possession, and method of take.

Tournament Waters: All tournament fishing must take place within the designated waters of Holloway Reservoir during official tournament hours.

Lines In / Lines Out: No tournament fish may be caught before the official start time. Fishing must stop at the announced lines-out time.

One Rod Per Angler: Each participant should actively fish with only one rod at a time unless your final rules specifically allow otherwise.

Artificial Lures: Optional

Fish Care: Participants are expected to make reasonable efforts to keep fish healthy and minimize unnecessary handling. Catch-and-release

Weigh-In: Fish must be presented at the designated weigh-in area by the published deadline. Fish arriving after the deadline may be ineligible.

Sportsmanship: Unsportsmanlike conduct, intentional interference with another participant, cheating, falsification of a catch, or violation of tournament rules may result in disqualification.

Safety First: Participants are responsible for operating boats safely and following all applicable boating laws. Required flotation and safety equipment must be aboard each vessel.

Weather: Tournament organizers may delay, modify, shorten, or cancel fishing activities when weather or water conditions create a safety concern.

Final Decisions: Decisions of the tournament director regarding eligibility, weigh-in, rule interpretation, and tournament results are final.

👨‍👩‍👧 Youth & Family Participation

Youth anglers are welcome! Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and meet all applicable fishing and boating requirements.

🚤 Boat Requirements

For anyone participating by boat:

Boat operators are responsible for ensuring their vessel is legally registered, properly equipped, and operated in accordance with Michigan boating laws. All participants must follow applicable personal flotation device and boating safety requirements.

After The Action Healing Foundation does not provide boats unless specifically stated. Participants are responsible for arranging their own boat or fishing access.

Participant arrives → tournament official receives fish → fish is weighed → weight is announced → another volunteer records participant/team name and weight → participant verifies result → fish is released where appropriate.
